Many banks are now asking for GST registration to start the current for our newly incorporated private limited company. There are options to create accounts without GST. But it doesn’t provide the same features. For example, the South Indian Bank (which is recommended by IndiaFilings) mentioned that the two-year zero balance account will not be available if our company doesn’t have GST registration. So I decided to get the GST number.
IndiaFilings said that GST registration will take from 12 to 15 days. They will do monthly and quarterly GST filing if I choose their service for GST compliance. I paid them ₹7,080 (including ₹1,080 tax) on January 28th, 2025, at 05:15 PM for GST registration and compliance for one year.
The next day, I asked their team member Manisha to know whether they started the process or not. She mentioned that the process has already started and I will receive an email regarding that which I should forward to her to proceed. But I doubt it since the GST registration process will ask for OTP details (AFAIK) which I haven’t received yet. Also, I didn’t receive the email she mentioned.
